Description
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Engineer, you will support the project manager and site leadership teams across planning, coordination, documentation, and closeout activities to keep projects on time and within budget.
- Read and interpret drawings and specifications, ensuring accurate distribution, mark‑ups, and as‑builts
- Manage the full submittal process, including schedules, updates, and coordination with subcontractors
- Create and maintain RFIs, ensuring timely distribution, posting responses, and tracking cost/schedule impacts
- Coordinate and document project meetings, including agendas and minutes
- Compile all closeout deliverables, including O&M manuals, warranties, and owner training support
- Assist with punchlist tracking, permitting, inspections, and regulatory requirements
- Support safety documentation, quality control measures, and warranty activity with subcontractors
Profile
The Successful Applicant
For the Project Engineer, we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with commercial construction projects, ideally with a general contractor
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to construction management platforms preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, vendor management, and relationship‑building skills
- OSHA 30 (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Experience with Bluebeam and permitting processes beneficial
- Must meet U.S. citizenship requirements due to project security criteria
- Ability to travel nationally
