DIRECTOR OF QUALITY- aerospace and defense- Newington NH

As the Director of Quality you will lead the development and implementation of quality strategies, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements while driving continuous improvement across the organization. This role involves overseeing the Quality Management System, managing audits, and mentoring the Quality Team to achieve high standards and zero-defect goals.

Description

As the Quality Director your responsibilities include leading the development and execution of quality strategies, maintaining compliance with ISO standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role also involves overseeing internal and supplier audits, managing customer quality relationships, tracking nonconformance costs, and mentoring the Quality Team to achieve high standards and zero-defect goals.

Profile

  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead teams and influence decisions based on data and process thinking.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in an ISO manufacturing environment, with a preference for knowledge in cable/connectors or regulated industries.
  • Educational Background: BS degree in a technical discipline (BSME/BSEE preferred) and relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ CQE/CRE/CQM/CQA).
  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated success in developing and deploying quality strategies and supporting Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Audit and Compliance: Experience with internal and supplier audits, as well as hosting customer audits.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capabilities in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and addressing nonconformance issues.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customer quality representatives and understand their requirements.
  • Team Development: Skilled in managing and mentoring quality personnel, fostering a positive work culture, and driving team engagement.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on action-oriented and customer-focused interactions.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.
