Product Development Engineer - Somersworth, NH
The Product Development Engineer will report into the Engineering Manager and join a small team of engineers. This is an exciting opportunity to manage various projects, provide technical support for processes, and take products through the full lifecycle of manufacturing.

Description
The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design and develop rubber formulations and components to meet specific product requirements.
- Conduct research on raw materials, processing techniques, and manufacturing methods to improve product performance and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, and R&D, to ensure product viability and scalability.
- Utilize CAD and simulation software to design prototypes and predict material behavior under various conditions.
- Lead and participate in product testing and validation processes, analyzing results to refine designs.
- Develop technical documentation, including specifications, process instructions, and testing protocols.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source appropriate materials and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Profile
The successful Product Development Engineer will have the following experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in product development within the rubber or injection molding industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and material simulation tools.
- Strong knowledge of rubber materials, formulation chemistry, and processing techniques.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASTM, ISO, and other relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
