VP, Cloud Security

The VP, Cloud Security will oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud security strategies within the financial services industry. This role requires expertise in cloud technologies and a strong understanding of security frameworks to ensure robust protection of systems and data.

Description

• Develop and implement comprehensive cloud security strategies and frameworks.
• Oversee the configuration and maintenance of cloud security tools and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of security measures across cloud environments.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Provide leadership and guidance on cloud security best practices to internal teams.
• Respond to and manage cloud security incidents, ensuring swift resolution and prevention of future occurrences.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to continuously enhance cloud security measures.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards relevant to the financial services sector.

Profile

Must haves:

• Cloud security specialist in AWS
• Experience in the financial services industry (comfortable with NIST, GDPR frameworks, etc.)

Plusses:

• Network traffic analysis would be a key skill (Wireshark, TCP dump, T shark)
  • They have a packet capture intrusion prevention system at the perimeter of their environment - this role will be the service owner of this deployment
• Certifications (AWS security specialist, GFXI cloud responder and GFXI intrusion specialist are ideal)
