Director of Technical Sales and Operations - Americas

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales & Operations Manager to drive business growth, enhance customer relationships, and oversee the daily operations of our organization. Description

Sales & Business Development:

  • Drive business growth by actively engaging with customers and representatives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities while optimizing existing ones.
  • Foster and maintain long-term relationships with key customers through on-site visits, project support, and proactive solutions.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, providing exceptional technical and operational support.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including staff management, office administration, insurance, and operational tools.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient running of operations while continuously improving processes to maximize productivity.
  • Manage resources effectively to support both sales and operational goals.

Customer & Technical Support:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical and operational issues, ensuring customer needs are met promptly.
  • Offer technical expertise and solutions, leveraging your mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge to address customer challenges.

Profile

A successful Director of Technical Sales and Operations should have:

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM and project management tools.
  • Experience in sales and business administration, including basic accounting, IT, and HR management.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-centric mindset.
  • Ability to travel regularly for customer visits, technical support, and business development.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in fields such as industrial automation, drives, controls, PLCs, packaging, converting, web handling, or similar industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Experience managing both technical and operational teams, with the ability to lead and motivate staff.
  • Field sales experience with a strong background in technical sales and business development.
