Client Details

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry trends, ensuring projects are competitively priced and aligned with client expectations.

Description

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to clarify project details.
• Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Research and source materials, pricing, and subcontractor bids.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner.
• Review historical data for accuracy and update cost databases regularly.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Monitor market trends, labor rates, and material prices.
• Assist in contract negotiations and pre-construction planning.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience as a construction estimator in commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating) and MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Knowledge of local building codes and market conditions in Buffalo, NY, and surrounding areas.
