Contract/Billing Administrator
Our client is looking to bring on a Contract/Billing Administrator. They will be working closely with both the Accounting team and Project Managers
Client Details
Our client is a large construction company based in Aurora, Illinois. This company prides itself on promoting employees from within and a strong work life balance.
Description
Coordinates the daily administration of contracts
Review contracts for compliance with company insurance requirements
Facilitate contract issues with the Project Management department as necessary with reviewing, drafting, marking-up, editing, proofreading, and finalizing contracts.
Understand construction industry terminology, working with lien waivers, conditional and unconditional releases/invoices, UCC filings, insurance requirements and endorsements
Perform preparation of monthly billings, coordinating with the various departments to obtain accurate billing information.
Prepare bills and any necessary documents for customer submission in a timely manner according to contract requirements.
Keep up-to-date reconciliation of customer contract amount, change orders and billed amount.
Reconcile cash receipts with waivers submitted for payment. Lead weekly AR meetings regarding retention status and current expected collections.
Call, mail, or email correspondence to customers to keep accounts current.
Must be able to multi-task and manage work effectively by prioritizing schedules, and work tasks resulting in timely completion of work. The individual must identify problems when they arise, determine appropriate action, and be able to follow through and seek help when necessary. This individual must be responsible, able to communicate and share ideas and work in a collaborative environment.
Profile
- At least three years of construction contract management experience required.
- Paralegal experience preferred.
- Familiarity with insurance and lien waivers
- Understanding of Construction billing, Timberline experience helpful
- Must be organized, flexible, able to adapt to change, and have good time management and problem resolution skills.
- Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills.
