Superintendent

The Superintendent will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate must have proven experience with underpinning and foundation work in NYC, as well as a strong background in high-end residential renovations.

Client Details

Our client is a premier High-End Residential General Contractor located in Brooklyn, specializing in full-gut renovations of townhomes and brownstones in Brooklyn. In addition to delivering luxury interior finishes, they are experts in complex foundation work, including underpinning and benching. They are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join their team and oversee foundation and structural work, as well as high-end interior renovations.

Description

Your rersponsibilites as a Superintendent include:

• Oversee all phases of construction, from demolition and structural work to luxury interior finishes.

• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, laborers, and suppliers on-site.

• Ensure underpinning, benching, and other foundation work are executed safely and per NYC building codes.

• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and materials to ensure efficiency and cost control.

• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized job site.

• Conduct daily inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers to address challenges and keep projects on track.

• Maintain detailed documentation of site activities, progress reports, and any unforeseen conditions.

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in high-end residential construction in the Building and Construction Industry

• Must have underpinning and foundation work experience in NYC.

• Strong knowledge of NYC building codes and DOB regulations.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

• OSHA 30 certification required; SST certification preferred.

• Experience with luxury finishes and high-end craftsmanship is a plus.
