EHS Manager - Industrial Manufacturing - Cumberland, RI
The EJS Manager will lead Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) initiatives across two facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and a culture of continuous improvement. This role provides strategic oversight of EHSS programs, incident investigation, compliance reporting, and operational safety enhancements to drive excellence in workplace safety and environmental responsibility at our Cumberland, RI facility.

Description
The Environmental Health and Safety Manager, Industrial Manufacturing, will:
- Serve as the EHSS Subject Matter Expert, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement EHSS policies, programs, and training to maintain a safe work environment.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct internal assessments, audits, and inspections to drive regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Oversee hazardous materials handling, waste management, and environmental sustainability efforts.
- Manage EHSS reporting, metrics tracking, and regulatory documentation.
- Lead Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs to enhance workplace safety culture.
- Provide EHSS guidance to employees and leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Evaluate and approve new equipment and facility modifications for EHSS impact.
- Organize EHSS management reviews and lead emergency response initiatives.
- Supervise EHSS support staff as needed and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
- Ensure effective security measures, including badge access systems and facility compliance.

Profile
- 7-10 years of EHSS experience in a manufacturing environment, with 4+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's degree in EHSS, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing EHSS compliance programs, audits, risk assessments, and training initiatives.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement, and develop EHSS policies.
- Expertise in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Strong project management skills, including new equipment assessments and safety enhancements.
- Effective communication, leadership, and public speaking skills to engage employees at all levels.
- Hands-on experience with ergonomics, process safety, emergency response, and permitting.
- Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED preferred.
