DTC Settlements Analyst

The DTC Settlements Analyst ensures the timely and accurate settlement of securities transactions by coordinating the transfer of securities between buyers and sellers. This person will handle the reconciliation of trade details, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.

Description

• Monitor and facilitate the settlement of securities transactions: Ensure timely transfer of securities between buyers and sellers on the trade date or settlement date.
• Reconcile trade details: Compare and verify trade data between brokers, custodians, and other counter parties to ensure accuracy.
• Resolve discrepancies: Investigate and address any mismatches or errors in trade details, involving communication with relevant parties to resolve issues.
• Maintain compliance with regulations: Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory standards, internal policies, and market rules.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders: Communicate with traders, brokers, custodians, and other financial institutions to ensure smooth settlement processes.
• Perform daily reconciliation and reporting: Review settlement status and provide daily reports on pending, settled, or failed transactions.
• Manage failed trades: Investigate and resolve failed transactions, coordinating with all involved parties to correct issues.
• Process corporate actions: Handle and process any corporate actions, such as dividends, stock splits, and mergers, related to securities being settled.

Profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of DTC systems
• FIS Phase 3 knowledge a plus
• Bachelors Degree preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
