Project Manager - Federal Projects - Growth Opportunity

Project Manager for a general contracting firm working on Federal and Govement Projects with a value anywhere from $500K to $15M. In this role you will be expected to run and organize projects from start to finish. In order to be successful in this position, you need to have a hard-working, positive attitude and effectively develop relationships with on-site teams.

Client Details

My client is a general contractor located in the Chicago, IL. Over the past few years, they have expanded their presence across the Midwest significantly and have become more heavily involved in larger govement/federal projects. They pride themselves on the ability to take on any project type or complexity and deliver quality results. They work on both ground-up and renovation projects in various sectors. Creating a supportive culture is a key factor to their success, so the ideal candidate is someone who works hard and lift others up.

Description

• Oversee and run projects from preconstruction phase through closeout
• Organize business development meetings when necessary
• Plans and coordinates project activities inline with company polices and procedures
• Assist Senior PMs with client meetings - establish long-standing relationships w/ clients
• Creates and reviews project schedules
• Coordinate with field crews and superintendents to ensure project delivery
• Responsible for forecasting and estimating costs and changes to costs for project completion
• Ensure safety protocols are being adhered to on the job site
• Travel when necessary (once a month per project)
• Create positive/welcoming work environment for teams

Profile

• At least 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Must have project experience with govement and/or federal projects
• Bachelor's degree preferred (degree in construction is a plus)
• Heavy estimating experience is a plus
• Organized and able to effectively communicate
• Creative/fun personality
• Prior experience interacting with clients

Job Offer

• Base salary $100,000 - $130,000
