Quality Manager-Government Industrial Manufacturer-Bristol, CT
Excellent Quality Manager opportunity overseeing operations in Bristol, CT. Reporting directly to the COO, they will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while driving continuous improvement initiatives across all departments. The Quality Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of quality and excellence within the organisation.

My client is a designer and manufacturer of Electro-Chemical Systems for military and Aerospace applications. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, they have a developed an excellent client base as an industry leader in their space.
Description
They key responsibilities for the Quality Manager will be:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established processes and standards.
- Ensure products and processes meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate external audits and maintain necessary certifications.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product quality and operational efficiency.
- Analyze quality performance data to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead, mentor, and train the quality assurance team to develop a high-performing and proactive department.
- Provide guidance and training to all employees on quality standards, policies, and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed quality documentation, including procedures, manuals, and reports.
- Present quality performance metrics and updates to senior management.
Profile
The successful Quality Manager will have the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management
- 5+ years of Management Experience
- Experience with ISO9001 Standards
- Experience working with the DOD is highly preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally between departments
