Corporate Safety Director
The Corporate Safety Director will lead and enhance the safety culture across all projects and operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, fostering a proactive safety culture, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

My client is is a leading commercial general contractor based in the Philadelphia area, known for delivering high-quality projects across sectors including healthcare, education, office, hospitality, retail, and industrial.
Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and programs tailored to our diverse construction projects.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA standards, and oversee the completion of required safety reporting and documentation.
- Design and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels, emphasizing hazard recognition, safe work practices, and emergency response procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
- Lead investigations of workplace accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a culture of safety throughout the organization, encouraging employee engagement and accountability in safety practices.
- Establish and track key safety performance indicators, providing regular reports to senior management on safety metrics and trends.
- Evaluate and monitor the safety performance of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with company safety standards.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years in construction safety management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple projects.
- OSHA 500/510 certification required. Additional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
