Director of AP / AR
The Director of Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) will play a key leadership role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely financial processes that support effective cash flow management and operational efficiency across distributor and vendor relationships.

Description
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and professional resolution of vendor and payment inquiries
- Manage reconciliation, payments, and dispute resolution with distributors and partners
- Identify trends and variances impacting cash flow, financial accuracy, and vendor performance
- Improve cash flow forecasting, payment planning, and working capital efficiency
- Establish and refine team structure, responsibilities, and performance goals
- Lead and develop a team of 3, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and mentorship
- Provide technical guidance and support for complex AP/AR issues and system processes
- Review and audit team outputs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor and escalate risks or irregularities related to cash flow, payables, and receivables
- Support treasury activities, including identifying borrowing needs and recommending solutions
- Maintain vendor master data, credit reviews, and customer credit limits
- Oversee internal loan and interest tracking processes
- Analyze KPI performance and provide insights to leadership and staff
- Ensure proper invoice coding and adherence to US GAAP standards
- Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with company policies and audit requirements
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and training documentation
- Manage annual 1099 reporting and filings
- Lead AP/AR components of month-end close processes
- Support internal and external audit requests
- Participate in special projects as needed
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in AP/AR or accounting leadership roles
- Experience in import, distribution, or consumer goods environment preferred
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to invoice automation tools is a plus
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
Job Offer
- Base salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)
