Estimator
As a Residential Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for residential construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that projects are properly budgeted and will help project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to gather necessary information and provide estimates for labor, materials, and other associated costs.

With a reputation for excellence and attention to detail, we are looking to add a skilled and reliable Residential Estimator to our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the success of our projects and be a key part of our collaborative work environment.
Description
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather cost information and ensure estimates are based on the latest materials and labor rates.
- Prepare and present bid proposals for new projects and project change orders.
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and any potential cost drivers.
- Analyze labor and material costs, as well as subcontractor bids, to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
- Work with the project management team to establish project budgets and timelines based on estimates.
- Assist with value engineering and cost-saving measures during project development.
- Stay current on industry trends, building codes, and cost data to provide the most up-to-date estimates.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
Profile
- 5+ years of experience as an estimator in the residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs for residential projects.
- Proficient in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Buffalo and the surrounding area.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A degree or certification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
