Accountant

The Manufacturing Accountant will play a pivotal role in supporting financial operations within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This position focuses on accurate reporting, cost analysis, and providing actionable insights to drive profitability and efficiency.

Description

• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including cost accounting and inventory management reports.
• Monitor and reconcile manufacturing costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to provide financial insights that enhance operational efficiency.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting for manufacturing operations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations within the manufacturing environment.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by management.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Accountant should have:

• A strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis within the industrial/manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software (oracle ideal) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders.
