The Superintendent will create and execute pre-planning activities with subcontractors. Coordinate with suppliers, inspectors, subcontractors and architects to resolve any issues with methods or materials, and inspect in-progress work to ensure workmanship adheres with construction schedules and specifications.
Client Details
Our client is seeking an experience Construction Superintendent with a highlighted focus on K-12 and/or higher education projects to join their team in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The successful candidate will have experience managing all phase of a K-12 construction project, both ground-up and renovations.
Description
- Responsible for leadership of assigned project staff.
- Review budget and project documents with project team to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as develop associated project schedules, logistics plans, etc.
- Complete project buyout process within approved time line of project commencement date, negotiating final cost and scope of work for all subcontracts and purchase orders required.
- Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of Project Manager to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Profile
- Strong oral communication and written skills.
- Ability to successful manage all aspects of K-12 projects including schedules, budgets, and profitability through comprehensive project completion.
- Collaboration with the Project Manager to develop, refine, and update project schedules to ensure all milestones are identified and tracked
