Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. This role will play a critical part in managing month-end close processes, financial reporting, budgeting, and inventory accounting, and will provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team.

• Supervise and lead the accounting team in daily operations including A/P, A/R, general ledger, and bank reconciliations

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes and ensure timely preparation of financial statements

• Oversee inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold (COGS), shrinkage, and reconciliation across retail locations

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax laws

• Collaborate with operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to support financial planning and decision-making

• Prepare and review internal and external reports, including sales tax filings, audits, and financial analyses

• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities

• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies and procedures

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives

• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants during annual audits and tax filings

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

• Experience in retail or consumer products industry strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and Excel

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• High level of integrity and attention to detail
