Industrial - Engineering Design Supervisor - Dover, NH
My client is seeking an Engineering Design Supervisor to lead and oversee a team of CAD designers, ensuring high-quality outputs, adherence to schedules, and continuous improvement in design processes. This role will collaborate closely with engineering and project management teams to drive quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery.

Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the productivity of a team of CAD designers
- Ensure drawings and designs meet specifications, standards, and deadlines
- Act as liaison between design team and cross-functional departments
- Oversee the creation of accurate technical documentation
- Train and mentor new staff and contract designers for fast integration
- Recommend efficient allocation of designer resources to project managers
- Assign and prioritize work to meet department goals
- Establish, maintain, and improve design processes and procedures
- Identify and promote new design tools for efficiency and quality
- Conduct employee performance reviews with constructive feedback
Profile
Education & Experience
- Associate's degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
- 3+ years of demonstrated mentoring or supervisory experience in design
- Technical background with knowledge or hands-on design experience in areas such as mechanical-electrical, sheet metal, piping, heating/cooling products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and coaching
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Competency with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software
- E-CAD experience is a plus
