My client is seeking a well established Assistant Project Manager based out of Columbia, MD. My client is a full-service general contractor specializing in fast-track hospitality construction projects across the U.S. With over 22 years of experience in the industry. They are recognized for their expertise in hotel renovations and new builds, managing projects ranging from $5M - $20M.

My client is a full-service general contractor specializing in fast-track hospitality construction projects across the U.S. With over 22 years of experience in the industry, they have built strong relationships with top-tier clients, including Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons, Hyatt, and more. They are recognized for their expertise in hotel renovations and new builds, managing projects ranging from $5M - $20M, with 60% of work coming from repeat clients through negotiated budgets.
With a headquarters in Columbia, MD, my client operates nationwide, completing projects in locations such as the DC Metro area, New York, Florida, Texas, and California. Their success is driven by a team of passionate professionals who lead with determination, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence.
Description
Assist in managing all phases of the construction project from pre-construction to closeout.
Maintain project documents and reports (RFIs, submittals, drawings).
Track and update materials to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
Generate purchase orders and coordinate PM review/approval.
Assist with schedule tracking and updates to ensure projects remain on time.
Distribute project documents as required to relevant stakeholders.
Work primarily from the main office with occasional to frequent onsite job visits.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure smooth coordination between subcontractors and vendors.
Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
Profile
2+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in ground-up concrete projects.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Willingness to travel if needed for future out-of-state projects.
A proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and a can-do attitude.
