Revenue Accountant

This Revenue Accounting Consultant role in the financial services industry focuses on providing expert support in ASC 606 accounting.

Description

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end revenue close processes, including preparation of revenue journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform detailed analysis of revenue streams, contract terms, and revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare schedules and documentation to support internal and external audit requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including FP&A, Sales Operations, and IT to ensure accuracy of revenue data and reporting.
• Review contracts, billing data, and system outputs for proper accounting treatment.
• Assist with maintaining and enhancing revenue reporting dashboards and analytics tools.
• Identify process improvements and support ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.

Profile

A successful Revenue Accounting Consultant should have:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of revenue accounting experience and ASC 606.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, RAR, Salesforce, Power BI) and advanced Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
