Description
- Manage and oversee the daily payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.
- Supervise and provide guidance to a team of 3 payroll specialists.
- Maintain and manage payroll systems, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Utilize ADP for payroll processing, reporting, and management of employee information.
- Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as federal, state, and local payroll laws.
- Manage employee tax deductions, benefits deductions, wage garnishments, and other related payroll functions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Lead and assist in payroll audits and work closely with the Assistant Controller on payroll-related financial reporting.
- Continuously review and improve payroll processes and procedures.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
- Strong proficiency with ADP payroll systems is required.
- Experience managing a team within a payroll function.
- Solid understanding of payroll and wage and hour laws, compliance regulations, and tax filings.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Experience working in a non-profit or mission-driven organization is a plus.
