Operations Manager - Precision Manufacturing - Haverhill, MA
The Operations Manager is providing senior operational leadership across production support, quality, logistics, and indirect functions while overseeing the site's overall performance. This role is acting as a key partner to the Production Manager, strengthening leadership coverage on the shop floor and driving operational consistency, accountability, and efficiency. Client Details

This role will report directly into the General Manager and be responsible for
- Overseeing overall site operations in partnership with the Production Manager
- Providing leadership across quality, shipping and receiving, purchasing, and accounting functions
- Ensuring quality standards are being maintained and continuously improved
- Supporting efficient production flow and resolving operational issues as they arise
- Building strong, visible relationships with shop-floor personnel
- Addressing performance concerns, employee relations issues, and escalation points within operations
- Collaborating with engineering through a dotted-line relationship to support manufacturability and execution
- Working closely with the Accounting/Finance Manager on operational inputs to P&L performance
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to offset high operating costs
Profile
The successful candidate will have
- Proven leadership experience in an operations or manufacturing management role
- Background in metal fabrication, machining, or contract manufacturing environments
- Strong ability to engage and communicate effectively with shop-floor teams
- Experience leading indirect and support functions in a manufacturing setting
- Hands-on, team-oriented leadership style
- Ability to manage change in a transitioning or restructuring organization
- Solid understanding of quality, logistics, and production support functions
