Our client, a well-established full-service construction firm with over 40 years of experience, is a respected name in the Indianapolis area. Amidst rapid growth, they take pride in fostering a strong company culture where team members are appreciated beyond their work on projects. They are currently seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager to join their expanding team and grow alongside the business.

Description

  • Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Take part in interviews and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes for new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the estimating team during bidding phases for upcoming projects.
  • Build a deep understanding of all project details and specifications.
  • Reach out to subcontractors to spark interest and participation in projects.
  • Partner with Project Management and Estimators to finalize plans and estimates before submission.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly Project Manager review reports, supporting the profitable and timely project delivery.
  • Contribute to creating, reviewing, and negotiating project documents, including meeting minutes, Owner Change Orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
  • Conduct project closeout walkthroughs with Owners and Architects, ensuring all punch list items are addressed and necessary closeout details are completed.
  • Handle post-completion customer relations, such as performing 6-month project check-ins and 11-month warranty walkthroughs to resolve any lingering issues.

Profile

  • 2-5 years of Assistant Project Management experience, commercial experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field
  • Team player with a positive and driven attitude
  • Has interest to estimate change orders, pay apps, etc. but does not need to be able to bid projects from scratch.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced work environment
  • Desire to further career as a Project Manager
  • OSHA certified

Job Offer

  • Base salary of $85,000-$105,000 depending on the level of experience
