Lean Engineer

Description
Lean Engineer key responsibilities:
- Lead Lean and operational excellence initiatives, including Kaizen and Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs)
- Conduct Gemba walks, coach staff, and mentor junior team members
- Implement SMED, standard work, VSM, DMAIC, PDCA, and visual management improvements
- Develop, deploy, and manage process improvement strategies and site plans
- Facilitate training and Lean education across all employee levels
- Coordinate and execute improvement projects to meet business objectives
- Engage leadership to secure buy-in and ensure successful adoption of change initiatives
Profile
Lean Engineer:
- B.S. degree in Engineer or Technical
- 12-20 years of practical Lean experience, capable of mentoring teams
- Strong Kaizen, Gemba, SMED, and VSM expertise
- Experience with continuous improvement deployment and project management
- Analytical mindset with statistical, financial, or engineering modeling skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
- Results-oriented, proactive, and able to drive sustained improvements
- Familiarity with Lean tools: PDCA, DMAIC, 5S+1, Kanban, Hoshin, visual controls
