Description

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Design, develop, and improve manufacturing processes for CNC machining, plastic molding, and precision fabrication.
• Collaborate with product development and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards (ISO 13485, AS9100, etc.).
• Lead process validation efforts including IQ/OQ/PQ for medical and aerospace components.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Evaluate production processes for efficiency, yield improvement, and cost reduction.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances and customer complaints.
• Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve production flow and reduce waste.
• Specify tooling, fixtures, and equipment needed for production.
• Provide technical support to operators and technicians on the shop floor.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events.

Profile

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a regulated industry (medical, aerospace).
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and/or plastic manufacturing processes.
• Experience with process validation and quality systems (ISO 13485, AS9100).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and CAM tools.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles; certification a plus (e.g., Green Belt).
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
