Project Engineer - Florence, OR
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our construction team on commercial and multifamily projects in the Florence area. You will play a critical role in project planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget. This position is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in construction management while working on a diverse portfolio of projects on the Oregon Coast.

Our client is a well-known top ENR commercial GC. Their projects range in size from $10M to $100-M in value, focusing on ground up construction and tenant improvement in the Oregon area. The company has experienced steady growth by actively choosing to have a diverse pipeline. Most of its commerical work in Portland, but they have expanded for exciting projects along the Coast near Florence, OR.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent with daily project operations, scheduling, and coordination.
Prepare, review, and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
Maintain accurate project records including meeting minutes, logs, and reports.
Support estimating, budgeting, and cost control efforts throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve design and construction issues.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and company standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to schedule.
Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, O&M manuals, and turnover documentatio
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
1-3 years of experience in commercial, multifamily, healthcare, or civil construction (internship or entry-level experience considered).
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, or similar), MS Office Suite, and scheduling software.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
