Project Manager - Healthcare / K12 Construction

$120,000 - $160,000/Year
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale Healthcare and K-12 education construction projects valued at $20M+. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining excellent client and stakeholder relationships.

Client Details

Our client is a mid-size GC that has a strong background of healthcare and institutional construction projects throughout the Southeast of the US (Florida, Georgia and the Carolina's).

Description

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Manage all aspects of construction projects from planning and budgeting to execution and turnover.
  • Lead project teams including superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules using industry-standard tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Ensure all work complies with contract documents, industry standards, and client requirements.

Financial Management

  • Create and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Manage change orders, purchase orders, and pay applications.
  • Ensure projects meet financial targets, including profitability and cash flow expectations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Run regular OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve issues proactively and communicate impacts clearly to stakeholders.

Risk, Safety & Compliance

  • Partner with field teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Identify and manage project risks, conflicts, and schedule impacts.
  • Ensure documentation, reporting, and project controls are accurate and up to date.

Team Development

  • Mentor project engineers and junior staff.
  • Collaborate closely with field leadership to drive team performance and project goals.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-10+ years of project management experience with a general contractor.
  • Proven experience managing Healthcare and/or K-12 projects of $20M+ construction value.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 construction process and / or AHCA Inspection experience(if applicable), infection control, interim life safety measures, and other healthcare compliance processes.
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, P6, MS Project).
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
