Quality Manager - Defense - Billerica, MA
The Quality Manager, aerospace manufacturing, will lead quality initiatives across the site, driving continuous improvement, supplier management, and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. They will also serve as a key liaison for FAA and customer approvals, ensuring product integrity, audit readiness, and timely resolution of issues impacting production and delivery at our Billerica, MA facility.

Description
The Quality Manager, Aerospace Manufacturing will:
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing modern Quality tools and practices
- Manage supplier quality: selection, evaluation, approval, risk assessment, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- Partner with Supply Chain to support work transfers and ensure supplier compliance to quality standards
- Support new product development and ensure smooth transition of purchased parts into production
- Obtain and maintain FAA DMIR authorization for source inspection and conformity activities
- Obtain and maintain customer DSQR approvals to support customer source requirements
- Lead timely identification, investigation, and resolution of quality issues impacting production or delivery
- Support customer investigations for product failures and oversee corrective action implementation
- Coordinate and conduct audits, assessments, and on-site reviews for suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 and FAA requirements
- Lead or support training, development, and improvement projects across the organization
- Serve as a key liaison during customer and regulatory audits to ensure compliance and readiness
- Onsite at our Billerica, MA facility
Profile
- Engineering degree with background in aerospace/defense quality management
- Experience in a Quality Manager role (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Hands-on experience with FAA regulatory requirements
- Strong knowledge of AS9100, including audit leadership
- Local to Billerica, MA
