Safety Coordinator
The Safety Coordinator develops and implements comprehensive safety programs and policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and leading efforts to audit, investigate, and train to mitigate workplace hazards. They also play a crucial role in promoting a strong safety culture and continuously improving safety processes, often by integrating Lean manufacturing principles.

Description
The key responsibilities for the safety coordinator:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and investigate all workplace incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Deliver comprehensive safety training to associates and maintain meticulous records of all safety-related activities and incidents.
- Serve as the primary contact for emergency response coordination and ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.
- Collaborate with production teams and management to integrate Lean principles into safety programs, identify hazards, and drive continuous process improvements.
Profile
The successful candidate:
- Education & Industrial Experience: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of manufacturing safety experience.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding and application of OSHA and industrial safety standards.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Effective Communicator: Confident in delivering training, fostering safety culture, and communicating across all levels.
- Organized & Lean-Minded: Strong organizational skills, proficient in safety systems, and committed to continuous improvement.
