Description

The key responsibilities for the safety coordinator:

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments, and investigate all workplace incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver comprehensive safety training to associates and maintain meticulous records of all safety-related activities and incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for emergency response coordination and ensure proper use and maintenance of safety equipment.
• Collaborate with production teams and management to integrate Lean principles into safety programs, identify hazards, and drive continuous process improvements.

Profile

The successful candidate:

• Education & Industrial Experience: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of manufacturing safety experience.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding and application of OSHA and industrial safety standards.
• Proactive Problem-Solver: Skilled in risk assessment, incident investigation, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Effective Communicator: Confident in delivering training, fostering safety culture, and communicating across all levels.
• Organized & Lean-Minded: Strong organizational skills, proficient in safety systems, and committed to continuous improvement.
