AML Case Investigations Analyst
This consultant will be 5 days in Midtown NYC. Responsibilities include compiling evidence, drafting reports such as SARs, and maintaining accurate documentation and tracking logs related to anti-money laundering efforts.

Description
Ensure full adherence to all Compliance policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and ethical standards to maintain a compliant work environment.
Monitor and review unusual transactions using a transaction monitoring system and conduct thorough investigations on all parties involved.
Utilize research tools to perform investigative analysis and gather supporting documentation, such as transaction records and open-source intelligence.
Manage Request for Information (RFI) processes, including sending, tracking, and following up on inquiries.
Assess investigation findings to identify potential suspicious activity, and draft clear narratives for case reviews and SAR (Suspicious Activity Report) submissions.
Maintain accurate records by completing tracking logs and supporting other AML compliance-related responsibilities as needed.
Profile
Minimum of 3 years' experience in BSA/AML within a financial institution or regulatory agency.
Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring, particularly involving correspondent banking.
Prior use and knowledge of the Actimize transaction monitoring system required.
Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred.
Strong understanding of BSA/AML regulations, industry standards, policies, and procedures, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, collaborate professionally, and proficiently use Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
