Communications Manager

We are actively seeking an External Communications Manager with a strong marketing background in financial services or legal financial services practice group external communications/ marketing - hybrid role based in Midtown New York City. This integral role will focus on developing and implementing comprehensive marketing and external communication strategies to support the growth of the firms biggest practice group.

Description

As External Communications Manager you will:

• Develop and implement strategic external communication plans to advance the financial services practice group brand identity and awareness.
• Manage all media contacts - suitable candidates will have an established NY book of PR and media contacts.
• Prepare and manage a communications calendar that aligns with the firm's strategic priorities.
• Lead the generation of online content that engages audience segments and leads to measurable action.
• Manage the development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral.
• Track and measure the level of engagement over time.

Profile

The successful Financial Services Legal External Communications Manager should have demonstrable experience:

• A degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategic external communications plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management skills.
• A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
• High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position communications discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.
• An established network of NY/ US media and press contacts.
