Healthcare Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to oversee all field operations for medical facility projects in Patchogue and surrounding Suffolk County. You'll lead on-site execution for renovations and expansions within active hospital environments-ensuring safety, infection control, and precision at every phase.

Description

• Lead all day-to-day field operations from mobilization through punch list and closeout

• Coordinate site logistics, subcontractors, deliveries, and inspections for healthcare-specific scopes

• Enforce and monitor ICRA protocols, infection control, and safety standards

• Work closely with Project Managers, hospital facility staff, architects, and engineers

• Oversee MEP installations, med gas, and utility shutdowns with precision and minimal disruption

• Maintain project schedules and field reports, and drive progress toward key milestones

• Manage site meetings, daily logs, and subcontractor coordination

• Resolve field issues in real time, ensuring quality control and compliance

• Support preconstruction efforts and project phasing as needed

Profile

7+ years of healthcare field supervision. Must have experience with ICRA protocols, MEP coordination, and hospital renovations.

• 7-15+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years focused on healthcare or life sciences projects

• Demonstrated ability to run active renovations in hospitals, clinics, or surgical centers

• Deep knowledge of ICRA, NFPA, DOH, and OSHA regulations

• Strong trade coordination and understanding of complex MEP systems and med gas

• Calm, clear communicator with a problem-solving mindset

• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, or other construction software

• OSHA 30 required; ICRA certification and/or First Aid/CPR strongly preferred

• Familiarity with working in union environments and managing multiple trades on tight timelines
