Assistant Superintendent - Affordable Housing - Emeryville
My client is currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Superintendent to support the field team on a new affordable housing project in Emeryville. This role offers hands-on experience in multifamily construction, with mentorship from experienced superintendents and the opportunity to grow into a lead role over time.

Description
Support the Superintendent with daily onsite coordination, logistics, and subcontractor management
Help manage schedule adherence, quality control, and job site safety
Assist with inspections, RFI responses, and field documentation
Track material deliveries and manage laydown areas
Maintain clear communication with project managers, trade partners, and design teams
Ensure adherence to project plans, specs, and affordable housing compliance requirements
Foster a respectful, team-oriented jobsite culture that reflects company values
Profile
2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in multifamily or podium-style projects
Understanding of construction processes, particularly metal stud framing and concrete podiums
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to learn, collaborate, and grow with a mission-driven team
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Based in or near the East Bay, with ability to commute to Emeryville jobsite
