Senior IT Auditor
The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for planning and execution of Audit and Advisory Review. This role includes assessing, reporting on, and recommending value-added & practical improvements for IT Audit operations.
Client Details
Client is a Global Real Estate Firm who is looking to grow out their IT audit function.
Description
- Contribute to robust risk assessment considering emerging trends in the information technology space
- Participate in the execution of an integrated audit by collaborating with and maintaining partnerships with financial auditors, key stakeholders and external auditors.
- Design, plan and implement IT audit programs that are executed on time and on budget
- Provide consulting services on key strategic IT initiatives and projects as well as in reviews of security systems and internal controls under development
- Propose process improvement recommendations based on best in class industry standards or improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform walkthroughs of general IT controls (ITGC) for critical financial reporting applications and supporting infrastructure; assess the effectiveness of the controls (Tests of Design)
- Test general IT controls (ITGC) in accordance with defined test attributes and guidance (Tests of Effectiveness)
Profile
- 1-3 years of performing IT audits with a public accounting firm and/or internal auditing or accounting role with a publicly traded or privately held firm.
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (Accounting/Finance, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, etc.)
- Demonstrates knowledge of IIA Professional Practices and Standards
- Applied knowledge and understanding of audit methodologies, risk-based auditing techniques and auditing standards and frameworks (i.e., COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO, ITIL, etc.).
- Demonstrates ability to collaborate and build relationships with Senior Leadership and colleagues.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, including listening and interviewing skills and influencing skills with ability to discuss complex issues clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
