Client Details

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to join our team and oversee financial operations at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and finance experience in a manufacturing environment, along with the ability to drive operational improvements and ensure financial accuracy.
Description
The Plant Controller will be responsible for managing the financial functions of the plant, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills who can collaborate with plant leadership to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting for the plant, including month-end close, financial statements, and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain the plant's budget, forecast, and financial projections.
- Provide detailed cost analysis for manufacturing operations, including labor, materials, overhead, and production efficiency.
- Monitor and control plant spending, ensuring costs are aligned with the budget and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Support pricing decisions by providing cost estimates and margin analysis for new products or changes in production processes.
- Work closely with plant management and department heads to develop cost-saving initiatives and enhance profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Lead the internal audit process and work with external auditors as needed.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for business decision-making.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
- Proven experience as a Plant Controller or in a similar financial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with various departments and senior management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on improving financial processes and controlling costs.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
