Senior Project Manager - Lead $45M Ground Up Project
A reputable general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team on a $45M project in New Hampshire. This is a great opportunity to join a leading firm in the industry on a secured pipelinf of upcoming work.
Client Details
This established New England general contractor has been building across Massachusetts and Connecticut for more than three decades, earning a strong reputation for high‑quality work in the commercial, education, hospitality, and healthcare sectors. The firm delivers a wide range of projects-from ground‑up developments and renovations to tenant improvements and capital upgrades-supported by a team of roughly 90 experienced professionals. Their relationship‑driven approach, strong preconstruction capabilities, and consistent client satisfaction have resulted in a high volume of repeat work and long‑term partnerships.
Description
- Direct overall delivery of large commercial construction projects-including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and full lifecycle oversight.
- Develop and manage project budgets; apply strong cost/benefit analysis and value engineering principles throughout the project.
- Oversee the entire construction process from contract award through project closeout, billing, and warranty execution.
- Maintain consistent documentation and communication with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and clients to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Cultivate and strengthen client relationships, managing conflict resolution and acting as the primary client-facing project lead.
- Provide on-site supervision as needed to ensure adherence to performance, quality, and safety standards (Hybrid role: both site and office presence).
- Coach, mentor, and support team members; contribute to training efforts around company standards and best practices.
- Lead project meetings and presentations; travel to job sites as needed.
- Represent the company at industry events, maintaining active involvement in professional organizations.
- Support internal DEI initiatives and sustainability goals.
- Develop career paths for direct reports and conduct regular performance reviews.
Profile
A successful Senior Project Manager should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of direct project management experience in commercial construction, with proficiency in building systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple large ground‑up and interiors projects simultaneously.
- OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client‑relation abilities with a proactive, hands‑on approach.
- Solid financial acumen: budgeting, accounting, cost controls, and construction cost accounting methodology.
- Ability to create master detailed schedules; experience with Oracle (OPC) scheduling strongly preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite and Procore.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to maintain focus and high work ethic.
