Our Client is a leading general contractor in the Oregon area looking to expand their highly profitable commercial sector of their business
looking for someone that is ready to lead a team and work in an environment that fosters success in their commercial projects from hospitality, retail, and public works
They mainly do ground up, new construction, renovation, and tenant improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Superintendent work closely with all members of the project team and supervise all craft employees
• oversee, manage, and mentor assistant superintendents
• Create construction schedules, perform regular updates, monitor logic relationships, and insert new activities and impacts
• Coordinate job sites logistics and maintain relationships with neighboring occupants
• Negotiate with authorities having jurisdiction to achieve project occupancy milestones
• Lead the clients injury free environment safety program
• Coordinate subcontractors work scopes, scheduling, and resource-loading in conjunction with clients elf performing work crews
• Foster the development of foreman to grow future superintendents
• Professionally represent the client and operations the primary interface with owner and design team
Successful Candidates:
• Previous experience in commercial projects in retail, hospitality, and public works
• We are looking for a flexible, detail- oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
• Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills
• Ability to identify and resolve complex issues
• Effective participation in a team environment
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), and scheduling software (primavera or similar)
• 5 plus years of experience as a commercial construction superintendent working on multi-million dollar projects
• A strong work ethic and a 'can- do' attitude
