Description
- Work with the Regional Sales Manager to help achieve the overall targets for each segment in your territory as well as establish individual target account sales goals.
- Building relationships with key accounts in the Northern CA territory. Targeting food manufacturers.
- Developing a solid partnership between major key clients.
- Responsible for growing some of their key accounts - providing white glove service. It is also an Outside Sales role - identifying and growing new accounts in the Food Manufacturing space. Do have some support from Marketing and warmer inbound leads. Will partner with the Inside Sales associate based in Southern, CA as well. Attend trade shows together, etc.
- Develop trusting relationships with target account customers to ensure they do not turn to competition.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Work in partnership with Inside Sales Manager and support staff to be best serve customers in California.
- Visit account sites and develop future cadence with customers.
- Coordinating pre-sales and post-sales follow-up.
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner.
- Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal stakeholders using territory and target account metrics.
- Developing a complete understanding of customer needs.
- Anticipating target account changes and improvements and respond accordingly.
- Follow up on sales leads generated from trade shows, marketing campaigns, website and other sources.
- Attend trade shows and assist in the selection and preparation of samples and promotional materials.
- Manage communications between key clients and internal teams.
- Strategic planning to improve customer results.
- Work with Applications, Sales team, Marketing, logistics, managers, Accounting to ensure the highest quality of materials are being produced and all customer's needs met.
- Collaborate with the inside sales team for hand over when new accounts are qualified as leads.
- Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members, and stakeholders.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biology or related work experience preferred. Food Science, Agricultural, Specialty Chemical
- Experience selling into Food & Beverage Manufacturers & OEMs (Required)
- 4-5 years of sales experience and providing solutions based on customer needs
- Outside sales experience (Required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
- CRM experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- proven sales results of delivering satisfactory client solutions and meetings sales goals
- Up to 50% travel required within assigned territory & trade shows
- Reporting into Regional Manager based on East Coast (she is fantastic been with the business a few years and has received multiple promotions throughout the company)
- Working closely with Inside Sales representative based in Southern CA. There is an Account Manager and Inside Sales representative in Northern, CA as well. Too much ground to cover alone which is why they are looking to hire for this Region.
- About 22 in total on the Sales team in US. Located across the country
