Manufacturing Supervisor - Aerospace & Defense - Tewksbury, MA
This Manufacturing Supervisor role involves leading a manufacturing team through day to day operations, managing production schedules, and ensuring efficient workflow on the shop floor. Responsibilities also include overseeing labor, tracking key performance metrics, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Description
As a Manufacturing Supervisor you will be responsible for:
- Lead a small manufacturing team and oversee daily operations.
- Manage staffing, schedules, and labor tracking.
- Review ERP/MRP to release work and monitor production flow.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and union standards.
- Collaborate with materials, shipping, and cross-functional teams.
- Support audits, document procedures, and identify training opportunities.
- Track KPIs and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Profile
A successful Manufacturing Supervisor should have:
- 5+ years managing manufacturing teams in a heavy industrial or metal machining environment.
- Experience with unionized workforces and strong knowledge of union contracts.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Knowledge of corporate quality management systems and OSHA/EH&S compliance.
- Ability to train, coach, and develop team members on the shop floor.
- Comfortable leading daily operations while driving continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track KPIs and implement process improvements.
