Finance Director

Our client, a well-established non-profit organization based in Manhattan, is looking for an experienced Director of Finance. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate will be immediately available to start a new role.

Client Details

Independent non-profit organization with an incredible mission based in Manhattan. This role is 5 days per week in office for the first 3 weeks before it transitions to a hybrid role with just 3 days in office & offers a chance to work with a small finance team, working towards a more sustainable planet.

Description

This role will involve:

• Overseeing and implementing day-to-day administrative operations and HR functions-including payroll, staff contracts, donor reporting, insurance, and cash flow management-to ensure continuity during the transition
  
• Enhancing internal control systems and compliance frameworks
  
• Strengthening budgeting processes and financial oversight
  
• Leading financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
  
• Navigating a financial crisis with stability and transparency
  
• A strong track record in guiding organizations through complex transformations.
  

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
• Experience managing small teams
• Ability to be flexible during this transitional period
