My client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer capable of designing and improving processes to implement cost and time savings. The role involves collaborating with multiple teams, including product testing, purchasing, quality, and production, to ensure customer satisfaction.

My client operates a modern facility in Western Massachusetts, specializing in a broad array of custom and standard wire and cable products, catering to various needs from single conductor wires to intricate composite cables.
Description
This role reports directly into the Process Engineering Manager and is responsible for:
- Manufacturing facility seeks a hands-on Process Engineer with expertise in the wire and cable industry to develop and optimize cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods aligned with product specifications and quality standards.
- Responsibilities include creating PFMEA/Control plans, developing manufacturing processes, reviewing equipment proposals, providing technical support to all departments, and assisting in process problem-solving.
- The role involves continuous improvement efforts to enhance efficiency's, product quality, and cost reduction, while also analyzing scrap trends and implementing project plans aligned with business objectives.
- The Process Engineer will have a working knowledge of material characteristics, conductor performances, and manufacturing processes, and will actively troubleshoot and modify processes to improve performance and efficiency.
- Additionally, the engineer will develop standardized procedures and One-Point Lessons to enhance manufacturing practices.
Profile
A successful candidate will have
- 2-3 years of process engineering experience
- Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing knowledge
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Strong attention to detail
- Cablebuilder experience is a plus
- DOE and SPC experience a plus
