Estimator

The Estimator will play a key role in preconstruction, responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for luxury interior renovation projects. This role requires a strong understanding of high-end finishes, subcontractor pricing, and NYC construction standards.

Our client is a Manhattan-based General Contractor specializing in high-end residential interior gut renovations and they are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This firm delivers exceptional craftsmanship across single-family townhomes, penthouses, and high-end apartments throughout New York City.

Description

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for interior renovations
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project scope documents
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids
• Develop and maintain cost databases and pricing benchmarks
• Collaborate with project managers and ownership throughout preconstruction
• Identify value engineering opportunities without compromising quality

Profile

A successful Estimator should have:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in high-end residential construction
• Strong knowledge of NYC construction practices and materials
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in estimating software and Excel
