My client is seeking a skilled CNC Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain CNC machining processes that drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role collaborates closely with design engineers, machinists, and quality teams to achieve production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Description

My client is currently seeking a Senior CNC Process Engineer to join their team. This role is critical in driving process improvements and ensuring top-tier manufacturing standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement efficient CNC machining processes, including tooling, fixturing, and programming for multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Develop and refine CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, ensuring adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop and optimize CNC machining processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement best practices and troubleshoot issues.
  • Own the entire process - from design, simulate and validate machining processes from conception through production
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times and increasing productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.

Profile

A successful Senior Process Engineer should have the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC machining and process engineering.
  • Hands-on expertise in CNC machine programming, setup, and operation, including advanced probe and macro programming.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks CAD, Esprit CAM, NX CAM) and simulation tools (e.g., Vericut).
  • Strong knowledge of multi-axis CNC machining (3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and mill-turn lathes).
  • Solid understanding of GD&T (ASNI Y14.5) and blueprint interpretation.
  • Extensive experience with metrology and precision measurement systems.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process optimization.
