Loan Closer Consultant

This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of commercial loan closings, including documentation review, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with credit approvals and legal requirements. The position requires strong experience with bilateral and syndicated loan structures, along with the ability to manage multiple transactions and post-closing activities efficiently.

Description

- Review loan policies, credit approvals, underwriting packages, and term sheets to ensure alignment with closing documentation.

- Analyze and verify condition precedents for closings, drawdowns, and funding events.

- Coordinate with relationship managers, legal counsel, and operations to ensure all closing conditions are satisfied.

- Draft and review closing checklists, commitment letters, and closing statements.

- Ensure all required documentation is collected, reviewed, and properly executed prior to funding.

- Manage the disbursement process and ensure accurate booking of loans.

- Maintain detailed records of closed transactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

- Support post-closing activities including document tracking, exception clearing, and file maintenance.

Profile

- 5+ years of experience in commercial loan closing, with exposure to both bilateral and syndicated loan structures.

- Experience reviewing Loan Agreements, Term Sheets, Condition Precedents, and other legal documentation.

- Strong understanding of commercial lending documentation and closing procedures.

- Experience at a large commercial or international bank preferred.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and thoroughly.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
