VP of Sales - Precision Machining | High-Impact Role

Our client is a well-established, fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer headquartered just outside of Chicago. With over a century of experience and 125-150 employees, they are a leading U.S.-based contract manufacturer specializing in precision-machined components and assemblies. Operating across industries such as aerospace, defense, medical (prosthetics), electronics, and consumer products, the company maintains a strong focus on quality, innovation, and long-term customer partnerships.
Known for their fantastic culture and lean operational model, this is a unique opportunity for a high-impact sales leader to shape strategy and scale success.
Description
- Lead and improve the company's sales strategy, processes, and execution to drive consistent growth across key markets.
- Drive the digitalization of the company's commercial footprint and accelerate growth across new and existing channels and vertical markets.
- Establish and monitor sales territories, quotas, and campaigns in line with company objectives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies and increase market share.
- Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to align project pricing and delivery with client needs.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings, conferences, and customer events to strengthen brand presence and pipeline.
- Support and optimize marketing and branding initiatives with a focus on digital growth.
- Manage budgets, prepare sales forecasts and reports, and contribute to long-term planning with executive leadership.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or technical master's preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management within precision manufacturing or industrial markets.
- Proven track record in driving commercial strategy and digitalizing a company's footprint to accelerate growth across multiple channels and market verticals.
- Deep understanding of machined components, manufacturing processes, and ISO quality standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence both internal teams and external partners.
- Comfortable working in a lean, entrepreneurial environment with direct access to executive leadership.
- This role is based fully onsite at the company's headquarters just outside of Chicago.
- Willingness to travel periodically for key customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
