Process Engineer - Materials Manufacturing - Dover, NH

The Process Engineer will report into the Engineering Manager and work hands-on with processes on the manufacturing floor. This engineer will be responsible for all operations that are required to manufacture their products.

My client manufactures unique, top of the line products in the plastics manufacturing space. They create custom products to best service their customers.

Description

The Process Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Lead the development of new products and enhancement of existing products
  • Troubleshoot any problems on the manufacturing floor and ensure processes are optimized
  • Enhance material and process efficiency to ensure compliance with customer specifications and optimal suitability for our production processes.
  • Collaborate closely with tooling vendors to guarantee the functionality of tools and the quality of resulting parts align with customer technical specifications.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation for processes and materials, encompassing part masters, routers, bills of material, external process instructions, and raw material specifications to meet internal and external standards.
  • Implement a dependable and ergonomically sound production process, facilitating the smooth transition and training from development to production stages.

Profile

The successful Process Engineer will have the following experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding a master's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Process Engineer in an industrial material manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer-centric problem-solving, employing strategic troubleshooting to optimize intricate manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive expertise in product realization processes, showcasing a depth of knowledge in injection, compression, and transfer molding techniques.
  • Familiarity with quality control principles and experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
