IT Security Architect

We are seeking a dedicated IT Security Architect to safeguard our systems and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network architectures, IT security, and the ability to design secure systems and security protocols.

Our client is a prominent player in the Business Services industry. As a large organization headquartered in New York, they have a significant presence across the nation, providing an array of services within the Technology department.

Description

• Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systems.
• Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats.
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
• Train users in implementation or conversion of systems.
• Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy.
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements.
• Prepare cost estimates by studying home improvements, plans, and related customer documents.
• Liaise with vendors to select the appropriate products.

Profile

• Recent experience (last ~3 years) working as a Security Architect in a hands-on technical capacity.
  • Note: Candidates whose Security Architect experience is only in previous roles (not current/most recent) will not be considered.
• Financial Services industry experience is required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or other security-focused credentials) are highly preferred.

• Candidates with titles or roles such as AVP, CISO, Manager, Strategist, or Solutions Architect - this is not a leadership or high-level strategy role.
• Candidates who are not actively working in a hands-on Security Architect position.
• Resumes that do not match LinkedIn profiles - consistency is essential.
