Construction Senior Project Manager - Manhattan, NY

Lead high-end tenant fit-out and workplace transformation projects across Manhattan, overseeing all phases from pre-construction through closeout. This role requires strong client leadership, financial oversight, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. Our client is a well-established commercial general contractor specializing in corporate interiors, workplace renovations, and Class A office build-outs throughout New York City. They are known for delivering complex, fast-paced projects for prominent landlords, developers, and Fortune 500 tenants.

Description

• Lead multiple commercial interior construction projects simultaneously (typically $5M-$25M+).

• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, and risk mitigation.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, consultants, and internal teams.

• Drive preconstruction efforts including scope review, value engineering, and cost control.

• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Mentor junior project management staff and support business development initiatives.

Profile

• 8-12+ years of project management experience in commercial interiors construction.

• Proven track record delivering tenant fit-outs in Manhattan's Class A office market.

• Strong financial acumen, contract negotiation skills, and leadership capability.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage high-profile stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
