Superintendent - Ground Up Multifamily
Client Details
A well-established Chicagoland General Contractor with a strong pipeline of ground-up multifamily work and a reputation for repeat developers and high-quality delivery. The team emphasizes safety, clean sites, schedule accountability, and strong subcontractor partnerships.Description
- Lead all on-site operations: logistics, manpower planning, sequencing, daily production targets
- Manage and coordinate all subcontractors and trades; run weekly lookaheads and foreman meetings
- Enforce safety plan and maintain compliance with site-specific and corporate requirements
- Maintain quality standards; execute pre-install meetings and inspections
- Own schedule execution (2-6 week lookaheads), RFIs/ASIs coordination, and closeout/punch
- Communicate clearly with PM team, client reps, inspectors, and AHJ stakeholders
Profile
- 5+ years as a Superintendent (or Lead Assistant Super ready to step up) on ground-up multifamily
- Proven experience managing multiple trades and maintaining aggressive schedules
- Strong safety mindset and field documentation habits (daily reports, manpower logs, photos)
- Familiarity with Procore (or similar) strongly preferred
- OSHA-30 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
